Another memorial in Berlin – different artists created installations with leftover pieces of the Berlin Wall. The 155 km. (96 mi.) long wall was constructed in 1961 and was demolished 1990 – one year after the “fall of the wall”.

A famous quote related to the wall is: “Mr. Gorbatschev, tear down this wall.” by Reagan in 1987.

This artwork symbolize some of the walls that still exist in our global society with the pictures of some of the worst dictators of our times (some are dead now).

There are many more walls than those of course – some in democratic countries – some in dictatorships – some make sense – some seem to be built mainly with ignorance and hate – some are physical some are just in our heads …
