Facade of the Duomo di Siena

The façade of the Siena Cathedral is a beautiful collection of artwork. Statues, gargoyles, columns, reliefs all carved out of marble.

The lower part was constructed by Giovanni Pisano between 1284 and 1296 and the second part was finished by Giovanni di Cecco from 1376 onwards.
