Machines also sleep


Beautiful antique market hall getting revamped in Paris. I wasn’t sure if I should enter, but once I was in it had an amazing atmosphere with the light shining from the street lamps shining into the building. It was a fascinating composition between raw (sleeping) power and delicate architecture left over from a different time …

To bad only few of these markets remain. Some like the huge one in the area of “les halles” (therefore the name :)) has already been demolished and lost forever just to remain an open wound within the city.
