the old palace

An old villa on the Aventina hill in Rome, Italy.
If you look closely:
On the right side, through the tent you can see the St. Peter’s Basilica.

Here is the view towards the center in an older post:

  1. If I believed in ghosts, I can almost hear them dancing.

  2. It does look old. I would love to explore it!

  3. Thanks for the clue – never would have peered into the tent.

  6. I like the picture… but I like the new theme even more, much easier to navigate now :)

    • Thank you – I like it too – at least I had less problems with it than with other themes ;)

Biggest issue atm is that the featured images (so the big one on top) don’t show up on the feeds like wordpress.com/tag/photography or reposted posts … (less than ideal for a photographer)

Only solution I found till now is posting it twice what would look weird as well …

  7. I’d love to go there some day. Great photo!

  8. How fortunate you are to live in such a picturesque part of this world. What equipment are you using?

  9. Great photo! Beautiful tone and contrast. Not sure if this is Santa Maria del Priorato? Would love to go to Rome someday and explore its archtiectural gems.

  10. As always, Stefan, beautiful!! Pretty! Loved the ground level perspective. You have quite the quirky eye. A treasure! Cheers, Theadora

  13. The low perspective is very effective, and I love the way you’ve caught the flag in full flight.
