Who is afraid of the glowing man?

I took this picture on an Burning Man event in Paris. Although it looks like it this picture has not been edited. If you haven’t heard about Burning Man here a brief summary: It comes from an one week artistic gathering with now 50000 participants/artists (2010), in Black Rock desert in Nevada. The name comes from the traditional burning of a wooden statue of a man at the end of the event.

I definetly want to go there one time … – If you are interested check it out – it’s worth it.

If you are wondering – no – I haven’t edited anything in photoshop – the face is a result of UV reacting paint and an UV lamp.

  1. Eek this is creepy! Even without added “effects” it’s the kind of image you might see in a horror movie. Great shot, scary photo!

  2. This looks like an image ripped directly from the black light portion of my dream life. :)

    In other words: very cool.

I had no idea people were burning wooden statues in France, too. Small world. :)

  3. Great image. I like the motion in it. :)
